Personal care is the most private support there is. It’s the shower, the shave, the buttons, the things most of us never have to let another person see. When the worker changes every week, your family member is being undressed in front of a stranger every week. No wonder they start refusing.
Our personal care is for NDIS participants in Geelong and the Surf Coast who need hands-on help with self-care, and for the parents and carers who’ve been doing it themselves because nobody else did it properly. One worker. The same routine. The same quiet respect each time.
We go at the person’s pace, we say what we’re doing before we do it, and we encourage them to do whatever they can for themselves. Dignity isn’t an extra. It’s the job.
Help with showering, dressing, grooming and the other private parts of the day, from one support worker your family member knows and trusts. Never rushed, never talked over, always done their way.
Setting up, helping in and out safely, washing and drying, with as much or as little hands-on help as the person wants.
Choosing clothes, buttons, zips, shoes and socks. Their choices, their style, their pace.
Hair, shaving, skin care and looking the way they like to look before they face the day.
Teeth, dentures and mouth care, morning and night.
Discreet help with toileting and continence aids, handled matter-of-factly and in private.
Help getting out of bed and ready for the day, and into bed at night, for people who can move with light assistance.
We pick one skill from the participant’s NDIS goals that they actually want, not the one that’s easiest to teach.
Before each step we say what’s next and check it’s okay. No surprises.
Doors closed, towels ready, only what needs to be uncovered. Small things that matter a great deal.
Water temperature, the order of things, which towel. We follow the routine they already have.
We help with what’s hard and step back from what isn’t. Doing it yourself, even slowly, counts.
Tell us if a female or male support worker matters. We’ll be honest about what our team of three can offer.
Slowly, and never hands-on at the first visit.
Fill in the form or call. We'll ring you back and listen: what help is needed, how your family member likes things done, and anything they find difficult.
Your support worker visits with Masego while you're there. No personal care on the first visit. Just getting to know each other.
The first few visits go slowly, often with you nearby, until your family member is comfortable with their support worker.
Same worker, same days and times each week, written into a simple service agreement. If something has to change, you hear it from us first.

We never rush it, we never talk over the person, and we follow their preferences, not ours.

We're a team of three, you'll meet all of us, and your regular support worker stays your regular support worker. Nobody is undressed in front of a stranger.

Ours is a multicultural household. Modesty, faith and family expectations around personal care differ, and we ask rather than assume.

Audited against the NDIS Practice Standards. Everyone here holds an NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working With Children Check. Ask to see the paperwork.
Personal care is funded as assistance with self-care activities under Assistance with Daily Life, part of the Core Supports budget in an NDIS plan. We support NDIA-managed, plan-managed and self-managed participants, and we bill in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.
We provide everyday personal care, not nursing or clinical care. Where a participant also has clinical needs, we work alongside the nurses or allied health team who look after those. If you’re not sure what’s in the plan, we’ll work it out with you and your plan manager or support coordinator.
Hands-on help with self-care: showering or bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and getting up or settling for the night. It’s funded under Assistance with Daily Life in the Core Supports budget.
Yes, tell us your preference. With a team of three we’ll be honest about what we can offer, and we’ll never place someone your family member isn’t comfortable with.
No. We provide everyday personal care. Where a participant also has clinical needs, we work alongside the nurses or allied health professionals who manage those.
Personal care usually happens in the morning or evening. Tell us the times that matter and we’ll be honest about what a team of three can cover before we start.
Yes. That matters more for personal care than for any other support. We’re a team of three, you’ll meet all of us before we start, and your regular support worker stays your regular support worker.
It’s common, especially after a bad experience. We start slowly, often with you nearby, and let trust build before any hands-on support begins. A familiar face is most of the answer.
Yes, and it usually is. The same visit can cover the morning routine, breakfast and a load of washing. See assistance with daily activities and household tasks.
Feel free to reach out through our website or give us a call. We are happy to help.
Tell us about your family member and the help they need. We’ll call you back, arrange a meet-and-greet at home, and start as slowly as they need.
